FAQ

Practical answers.

What teams usually need to know before installing SmartBreak in the workplace.

Will announcements still run if the internet goes down?

Yes. After a device has synchronized, SmartBreak keeps a local copy of its schedule, time zone, audio, and announcement settings. It continues operating during temporary outages and synchronizes again when the connection returns.

Can one schedule run on several devices?

Yes. Connect phones, tablets, computers, or kiosk displays to the same company schedule. Changes made by an administrator are synchronized to connected devices.

Can we record our own announcements?

Yes. Paid plans support voice announcements, custom recordings, and uploaded sound files. You can preview audio and add an attention beep before the spoken message.

Does SmartBreak handle daylight-saving time?

Yes. Scheduling uses your configured facility time zone rather than a fragile browser countdown, including day changes and daylight-saving transitions.

Can display devices change a schedule?

No. Display devices can show the clock, upcoming event, and alerts and can play announcements, but administrator controls remain protected.
